Today we live in an Electro Magnetic Frequency (EMF) fog. Nearly everything we do requires some sort of electrical power.
Cooking, Sleeping, Ironing, Smart TVs, Smart Meters, all things mobile, Heating, Lighting, and Cars. I could go on and on, but you get the gist.
Some people with Lyme or people with other sensitivities are susceptible to these frequencies. In fact, it is like kryptonite sometimes.
So, is this constant EMF pollution safe? In today’s article I will attempt to show the invisible menace that surrounds us all, every minute of every day.
In today’s article.
What year was the UK electrified?
When did the first radio transmitters arrive?
What is Dirty Electricity?
What is Electro-Sensitivity, is it a real illness?
Is there any research into the effects of Dirty Electricity?
How do EMFs affect Lyme Disease?
What year was the UK was electrified?
When I talk to people about EMFs or Electro-sensitivity, they look at me like I’m nuts. Well that may be the case, but the truth of the matter has conventional scientific proof. We will get into that further in this article.
But first some history and stats.
Lighting up UK streets first happened in Liverpool in 1879. (1) Which means we have been living with electricity for around 141 years. The first house to have electricity was in Newcastle in 1881. (2) By 1921 there are about 480 authorised suppliers of electric in the UK.
The first UK radio transmission went out on 15 June 1920, since then we have been surrounded by EMFs from electrical and radio frequencies.
UK Electro Shocking Stats
In the UK we have 88,000 pylons, most pylons stand up to 164ft, weigh 30 tonnes and carry 400,000 volts of electricity. They have 4470 miles of overhead powerlines.
We also have 400,000 substations across the UK. In urban areas there’s one every few hundred homes.
The population uses 5 million Wi-Fi hotspots, and according to Statista.com 94% of the homes in the UK have a Wi-Fi router. (3)
Not counting major telecom towers there are 23,000 4G base stations or cell sites in the UK. And the British public use around 79.17m mobile phone subscriptions. More than one per person.
30 million microwave ovens are sold globally each year. There are also 1 million solar panelled homes in the UK. (4)
So, here’s a little bit of background not a deep dive but enough to give us a picture of where we came from in the 1800s without electricity up to where we are today.
There is no doubt we live in an Electosmog environment, we are smothered every minute of every day in it. But what is it?
Noun. electrosmog (uncountable) (informal) the electromagnetic radiation emitted by all the computers, mobile phones etc. in the environment.
Dirty electricity is also part of this equation.
Dirty electricity is unusable electromagnetic energy that is created by many electrical devices as they operate. It is caused by interruptions in the flow of normal 60-Hertz AC (alternating current) power traveling through wires and electrical systems in homes and other buildings. (5)
In other words when you turn off an appliance, lights and plugs in your home or office, there is an amount of stored electrical power left in the lines.
This residue electricity will produce a constant barrage on our systems from electropollution. Even while we are asleep. This will upset our natural state of being. Humans are electrical generators we emit and transmit frequencies.
When we have these outside energy frequencies corrupting our body’s own bio-resonance it can and will cause disease eventually.
Frequencies above 50Hz can start altering cells. When I measured some of my plug sockets, were 1500Hz, I was basically living in a electrical substation.
Not one socket was below 50Hz.
Electromagnetic hypersensitivity (EHS)
Electro-sensitivity is a real illness with a variety of symptoms. there is a wide range of symptoms that are caused by low level exposure to Electro Magnetic Fields (EMFs). Symptoms include. (6)
- body pain,
- tinnitus (ringing in the ear),
- burning sensations,
- heart arrhythmia
Personally, I had all those symptoms to varying degrees. But Lyme disease and the co Infections can also have the very same symptoms.
What we decided to do was stop using Wi-Fi, we only use wired connections. Buy electrical filters, these fit into the plug sockets and draw out dirty electricity.
Make sure you are not near, cell tower, pylons or substations. Don’t sleep with your mobile phone on next to you in bed. Unplug bedside lights.
EMF Research By the IARC
Now I’m not a big fan of the World Health Org. But if they say that EMFs are bad then you know they’re probably very bad.
Their research spin off the International Agency for Research on Cancer (IARC) released their findings on May 31st 2011 and classified radiofrequency electromagnetic fields as possibly carcinogenic to humans (Group 2B), based on an increased risk for glioma, a malignant type of brain cancer1 , associated with wireless phone use. (7)
Exposure to EMFs found in/on household wiring can cause free radical activity, (known to be a precursor to disease) this comes from information published in a paper published in 2019 (12) it states
‘Changes in free radical activities, including levels of cellular reactive oxygen (ROS)/nitrogen (RNS) species and endogenous antioxidant enzymes and compounds that maintain physiological free radical concentrations in cells, is one of the most consistent effects of EMF exposure. These changes have been reported to affect many physiological functions such as DNA damage; immune response; inflammatory response; cell proliferation and differentiation; wound healing; neural electrical activities; and behaviour’
These are some of the health issues caused by EMFs
- DNA Damage (8)
- Break the Blood Brain Barrier, this protects us from toxin entering the brain.
- Increased Brain glucose metabolism
- Heightened stress levels
- Stem cell development alterations (9)
- Heart Issues (10)
- Endocrine disruptions (11)
Most Lyme sufferers are very sensitive to light, noise, chemicals and EMFs. Electrosensitivity symptoms are very similar to Lyme.
I am convinced the EMFs stir up parasites and other infections.
Please go to www.electricsense.com Lloyd Burrell has compiled excellent research on this subject.
I’m from a telecoms/tech background (25yeas) and from my research EMFs are dangerous. There are things we can do to minimise the effects
Like reduction or total elimination of all EMFs in your home at least, which is probably virtually impossible.
Many health issues like Lyme have similar symptoms, they become multi-layered, so, getting rid of one does not solve the problem.
I am beginning to see quite a vivid pattern emerging in my research. Everything we are told has no health risks or that it is in some way beneficial is probably bad for our health.
EMFs are another piece of the health jigsaw.
